Prime Minister said today that Georgia is “glad that our European and American leaders recognize this with great gratitude.”

According to Irakli Garibashvili, the country has been involved in the Afghan mission for years, and “our involvement in the evacuation was paramount”.

“Georgia is a responsible actor, a partner of the United States and Europe. We heard the US statement that Georgia acted very promptly during the evacuation process from Afghanistan. We set up the evacuation center briskly and managed this process rightly and swiftly”, - said the Head of the Government.
