Ballots have been recounted in 360 polling stations in 72 constituencies across the country. Such a statement made today Central Election Commission Spokesperson Natia Ioseliani.
As she added, the data of 239 polling stations remained unchanged, which is 66.7% of the recounted polling stations.
“For the first time this year, the district election commissions had the obligation to recount the ballot papers of 5 polling stations identified by random selection in each constituency. The election administration recounted the ballot papers of the respective polling stations in the shortest possible time - on October 4 (the legal deadline for recounting is the 6th day after the voting).
Recounting procedures based on electoral reform contributed to the transparency of the process. The recounting process was videotaped”, - said Natia Ioseliani.
