Georgian honorary consulate opens in Slovenia

An honorary consulate of Georgia opened in Portoroz, Slovenia. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on January 18, 1993.

The Georgian embassy was opened in the Republic of Slovenia in 2011, while the Georgian ambassador to the country was appointed in 2014.

Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani has congratulated Honorary Consul Andrej Malgai on his appointment and emphasized the importance of the event.
