Georgia remains a very close and highly valued partner of NATO - Jens Stoltenberg

Georgia remains a very close and highly valued partner of NATO - Jens Stoltenberg. Such a statement made NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg ahead of the meetings of NATO Defence Ministers on 21 and 22 October at NATO Headquarters.

“First of all, I would like to state very clearly that Georgia remains a very close and highly valued partner of NATO. My Special Representative, Javier Colomina is a very experienced diplomat that really knows how NATO works and also how we can strengthen the partnership with Georgia, and working more closely with the countries in the region. And, I know him as a very knowledgeable diplomat that really can help and support those efforts that NATO does in that region in many different ways.

So we will continue to work on how we can further strengthen the partnership with Georgia, how we can make sure that we both provide political and practical support, and I look forward to working with the new Special Representative on how to do exactly that”, - said Jens Stoltenberg.
