Opposition attempts to manipulate election statistics have failed. Such a statement made today Shalva Papuashvili, one of the leaders of the Georgian Dream.

“Today, in comparison with the previous elections, we would like to present some statistics of the 2021 local elections.

These statistics once again prove the falseness of the so-called election falsification campaign carried out by the opposition after the 2020 parliamentary elections. In the conditions of the six-month sabotage of the Parliament, they directly deceived both the Georgian society and our foreign partners by manipulating the numbers and fabricating conclusions.

We saw that this year was the same attempt. This year we also saw the opposition waving the so-called falsified ballot papers and protocols. But this year their attempt to manipulate election statistics failed.

The mechanism of counting 10% of the polling stations initiated by us during the electoral reform played a crucial role, which is statistically so large and representative that it put an end to any speculation”, - added Shalva Papuashvili.
