Opposition is holding protest rallies in Batumi and Rustavi. Claiming that the elections have been stolen by the Georgian Dream, the leader of the United National Movement Nika Melia said in Batumi that the opposition will hold permanent rallies until Mikheil Saakashvili’s release.
“I pledge to fight for his release until my last breath, whatever this will cost me. Even if I have to sacrifice my life, I will make this happen. I will save him and release him from jail. The third president of Georgia cannot be judged by some [Irakli] Garibashvili, [Bidzina] Ivanishvili and [Vakhtang] Gomelauri”, - added Nika Melia.
Leader of Lelo for Georgia party also said that he will be standing there until Georgia will have fair elections and fair judiciary. Mamuka Khazaradze thanked other members of the opposition, stressing this unity needs to be strengthened.
