Lelo proposes the Government to start a dialogue immediately. According to the party, tensions following the local elections have been rising day by day amid Mikheil Saakashvili’s hunger strike.

“The process is clearly moving towards chaos and civil confrontation. In this situation, no matter how deep the political and personal confrontation is, in the interests of the Georgian nation and our common homeland, we must all find the resources to take reasonable countermeasures.

We appeal to the authorities to immediately start a dialogue to find specific ways to de-escalate the situation. Every lost minute can dramatically change the fate of the Georgian state”, - reads the statement of the Lelo.
