The UK Aid and UNDP signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development to expand their support for building effective, results-oriented and evidence-based policy-making in Georgia.
The assistance includes assessing the Ministry’s needs in public policy planning, monitoring and evaluation as well as adapting and carrying out the relevant training programmes. Training for the Ministry staff will be in line with the government’s policy planning and coordination framework approved in 2019. So far, similar training programmes have been delivered to 300 civil service employees across all Georgian ministries.
The UK and UNDP assistance draws on their wider support for public administration reform in Georgia.
