The trial of Mikheil Saakashvili relating to illegal crossing of the Georgian state border will be held today.

The session in the Tbilisi City Court is scheduled for 11:00.

“Government is afraid to let Mikheil Saakashvili attend the trial and they will probably try to use the mythical investigation by the State Security Service and his health condition again. The Government’s discourse is to keep Mikheil Saakashvili in political captivity, in absolute isolation, so that he does not have the opportunity to address people”, - said Beka Basilaia, the lawyer of the former president.
