Paata Burchuladze begins hunger strike in support of Mikheil Saakashvili. Opera singer demands the former president’s transfer to a civilian clinic from the prison hospital.

Burchiladze went on a hunger strike in Saakashvili’s presidential library.

“I started the hunger strike because it is my protest against what is happening in Georgia today. When I saw the prison footage of the third president of Georgia, I could not stop and arrived”, - said the singer.

Police detained Mikheil Saakashvili on October 1. He has been on a hunger strike since the very first day of his arrest.
