18 years have passed since the Rose Revolution. In 2003, after the parliamentary elections in Georgia, in order to protect their votes and their choice, people took to the streets, they demanded to annul the election results.

The revolution was followed by the change of power in the country. As a result, President Eduard Shevardnadze was forced to resign on November 23, 2003.

The demonstrations took place between 3 and 23 November 2003. The Revolution triggered new presidential and parliamentary elections in Georgia, which established the United National Movement as the dominant ruling party.
