The President of Georgia echoed the recent Russian troop build-up near the Ukraine border.

“I believe that Ukraine will overcome the existing tensions and follow the chosen path.

I want to reaffirm my full support and commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

I am sorry that our society has lately been more preoccupied with rallies of narrow political significance and retaliation against each other. Our society has to be interested in the developments around the country, will it be the development of a post-conflict situation between our two neighbors or the current situation on the Ukrainian border.

This is what we should be interested in and concerned about, as the peace and development of us and our region are integral”, - said Salome Zourabichvili.
