81 “for”, 11 “against” – the Parliament of Georgia voted in the 2nd hearing on the bill to abolish the State Inspector’s Service.
The issue is scheduled to be discussed and voted on in the 3rd hearing today, December 30.
At the initiative of the ruling party, the draft law on transforming the State Inspector Service into 2 independent institutions will be considered by the legislature in an expedited manner. Following the bill, the Investigative and Personal Data Protection Divisions of the State Inspector’s Office will be established as 2 independent institutions.
