4 members of the ensemble “Ilori”, who are in Kazakhstan, as well as 3 Georgian citizens stuck at Aktau airport and another person, who have been transferred to the city of Atyrau, have already applied for assistance to the Georgian consulate. Such a statement released the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The Embassy of Georgia in Kazakhstan continues to operate as usual, a hotline has been launched and Georgian citizens can call the number: +7 (717) 224-32-58.
Due to internet and telephone interruptions in Kazakhstan, if citizens are unable to connect to the hotline, they can send messages to the following e-mail address: [email protected]
The consulate is in contact with all Georgian citizens in Kazakhstan. 4 members of the Georgian ensemble “Ilori” have already applied for assistance to the Georgian Consulate. Through the efforts of the consulate, they were taken to a safe place 30 kilometers away from the Almaty and now their lives and health are not in danger. The members of the ensemble are provided with food and necessary medicines.
Another Georgian citizen living in Kazakhstan, who is currently living in the West of the country, applied for consular assistance and has been transferred to Atyrau. 3 Georgian citizens stuck at Aktau Airport are also being transferred to the hotel. Negotiations are underway with the relevant airline to return Georgian citizens to their homeland in the near future”, - reads the statement.
