Khazaradze, Japaridze found guilty by Tbilisi City Court, but not jailed

Tbilisi City Court sentenced Mamuka Khazaradze, Badri Japaridze and Avtandil Tserteli to 7 years in prison after requalifying their charges from money laundering to fraud, however, exempted them from criminal charges due to the statute of limitations.

According to the judge’s decision, the article with which Khazaradze and Japaridze were charged with was reclassified.

Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze were charged on July 24, 2019 with legalizing USD 16,664,000 illegal income.
