Prime Minister of Georgia launched the First Session of the Competitive Selection Commission for the vacant positions of the Special Investigation Service Head and Personal Data Protection Service Head. Ilia Darchiashvili, Head of Government Administration was elected as a Chairman of Competitive Selection Commissions on the grounds of a voting by their members.
In line with an Executive Order N12 issued by Irakli Garibashvili, Competitive Selection Commission for the vacant positions of Special Investigation Service Head is composed as follows:
• Ilia Darchiashvili, Head of Government Administration of Georgia
• MP Mikheil Sarjveladze, Chairman of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee of the Parliament of Georgia
• MP Anri Okhanashvili, Chairman of the Legal Committee of the Parliament of Georgia
• Giorgi Mikautadze, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia
• Bakur Abuladze, First Deputy Prosecutor General of Georgia
• Giorgi Burjanadze, Deputy Public Defender (Ombudsman) of Georgia
In line with an Executive Order N13 issued by the Prime Minister on 21st January 2022, Competitive Selection Commission for the vacant positions of Personal Data Protection Service Head is composed as follows:
• Ilia Darchiashvili, Head of Government Administration of Georgia
• MP Mikheil Sarjveladze, Chairman of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee of the Parliament of Georgia
• MP Anri Okhanashvili, Chairman of the Legal Committee of the Parliament of Georgia
• Giorgi Mikautadze, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia
• Bakur Abuladze, First Deputy Prosecutor General of Georgia
• Giorgi Burjanadze, Deputy Public Defender (Ombudsman) of Georgia
• Carlo Nikoleishvili, Board Chairman, Rights Georgia, legal entity of private law (LEPL)
Competitive selection has been launched for the vacant positions of Special Investigation Service Head and Personal Data Protection Service Head on the grounds of the Executive Orders N5 and N6 issued by the Prime Minister of Georgia on 17th January 2022.
Eligibility criteria include at least 5 years of service in the system of justice, law-enforcement bodies or protection of human rights. At least 2, but no greater than 5 candidates will be short-listed for each vacant position. The Prime Minister of Georgia will nominate to the Parliament of Georgia 2 candidates for each to be chosen from.
