The European Parliament’s rapporteur on Georgia Sven Mikser meets with representatives of parliamentary opposition factions and political groups.

As Khatuna Samnidze, head of the Reform Group and chairwoman of the Republican Party, said, the opposition will discuss with Sven Mikser the problems of democratic development in the country.

“We will talk about the constant attacks on independent institutions by the ruling party. We have a very serious example of this when the Georgian Dream abolished the State Inspector’s Service without any discussion.

Of course, we will also talk about foreign issues and the ruling team’s actions in recent days ignoring the cooperation, for which the Georgian Dream had a responsibility under Charles Michel’s document, and, of course, the problems related to justice reform, we will certainly talk about constitutional changes”, - said Khatuna Samnidze.

Sven Mikser already met with the Speaker of Parliament Shalva Papuashvili and the President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili.
