The United National Movement should be the so-called umbrella party for everyone who agrees with the founding principles, respects the party’s biography, wrote Gigi Ugulava on his Facebook page.
“Imagine that in the next elections, besides UNM and Dream, there is a bloc that unites Lelo, Gakharia’s party, Giorgi Margvelashvili, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Irakli Alasania, David Bakradze, Giorgi Vashadze.
It would be a bloc of former officials and businessmen with great political and business experience, which can actually make the [Georgian] Dream to lose votes.
The political board of the UNM must become an effective, living body. The election of each of its members should be the focus of media and public attention. The political board itself must function as a Parliament.
Its sessions must be broadcast live online. It should have factions, commissions and a secretariat to actually represent the shadow cabinet. The discussion of the factions should be observed by the society”, - writes one of the opposition leaders.
