We spoke about Russia’s premeditated aggression against Ukraine and noted that Georgia categorically condemns this aggression, which grossly violates the norms of international law, including international humanitarian law, and undermines international order and the architecture of European security. Such a statement made today the Minister of Foreign Affairs at the joint briefing with the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau.
“I want to thank the Chairman-in-Office for Georgia’s support, for the strong support for our sovereignty and territorial integrity. At today’s meeting, we spoke about Russia’s premeditated aggression against Ukraine and noted that Georgia categorically condemns this aggression, which grossly violates the norms of international law, including international humanitarian law, and all this undermines international order and the architecture of European security.
I reiterated Georgia’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, as evidenced by Georgia’s statements in almost all international formats, including within the OSCE. I would like to emphasize that Georgia also supports the extension of the mandate of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine and appreciates the contribution of the OSCE Chairmanship to that mission.
It is important to note that more than 30 observers from Georgia participated in the mission. I want take this opportunity to thank the Polish side once again for the safe evacuation of international staff, including our citizens and observers”, - said David Zalkaliani.
