Prime Minister of Georgia met Anna Maria Sikó, Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of Hungary to Georgia. Irakli Garibashvili congratulated the Hungarian diplomat on her appointment at the introductory meeting and expressed hopes for productive cooperation.
Dignitaries discussed prospects of further developing successful cooperation between Georgia and Hungary. Trade and economic relations, tourism, transport and education were particularly noted at the meeting.
The Hungarian diplomat reiterated unwavering support towards the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, along with its European and Euro-Atlantic integration. The Head of Government of Georgia noted that solid support of partners, including Hungary, is expected in the consideration of the EU Membership Application filed by Georgia. Prime Minister noted that the country appreciates the vital contribution of Hungary in the EU Monitoring Mission.
