The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia - Vakhtang Gomelauri, within the framework of the official visit to the Kingdom of Spain, met with the Director General of the Civil Guard of the Kingdom of Spain - Maria Gamez.

The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Shalva Bedoidze.

The parties of the meeting discussed issues of existing law enforcement cooperation and set the perspectives of future collaboration.

The parties paid special attention to the role of police attaches in the enhancing of the bilateral police cooperation and recent successful joint operations against organized crime.

Maria Gamez stressed the importance of the Declaration of Partnership on the establishment of an organized crime joint analysis team, which has further strengthened the cooperation between the parties in the field of fight against crime.
