German Ambassador to Georgia said that “Georgia is implementing international sanctions. It is not possible to circumvent international sanctions through Georgia”.

“We had conversations with the Georgian government, and we are assured that Georgia is implementing international sanctions. It is not possible to circumvent international sanctions through Georgia. This is very important, and we continue to work together in this sense.

Georgia is supporting the position of so many other countries, the world community in the United Nations. Georgia is one of the nations together with us, along with many others who work strongly in the UN to strengthen the international consensus in defence of Ukraine, in defence of territorial integrity”, - said Hubert Knirsch.

The diplomat also stressed what was happening in Ukraine was not only a threat to the country but also to European peace and security.
