The Prime Minister of Georgia commented today on the meeting with Russian businessman Ali Uzdenov.

“As for the meeting, why is there so much fuss? What happened? Did some crime take place? Did something like that happen? What are we telling our people? Businessman David Khidasheli, as you well know, made an extensive comment yesterday and I am not going to start commenting on his once said and re-explain what he meant.

I was really approached by David Khidasheli that there were some business offers and I said very simply that I could not meet, I was not in town and I redirected him to the business sector.

As he confirmed, Uzdenov had arrived in Georgia at the invitation of Khidasheli and met with several business representatives together with Khidasheli. I want to ask the main question to the authors of this fuss and to the investigators of the alleged “scandal”, did any continuation follow? Did it bring any results? Zero. I emphasize that no continuation, no result has followed the meetings”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.
