Prime Minister meets with President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency

Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, as part of his visit to Davos, met with Akihiko Tanaka, President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The meeting emphasized the high level of Georgia-Japan partnership and successful cooperation across a variety of directions. The parties expressed commitment to deepening this cooperation.

Irakli Garibashvili thanked Akihiko Tanaka for the significant financial assistance allocated by JICA for agricultural, energy, and infrastructural projects, and toward promoting sustainable economic growth and social stability.

Through the International Cooperation Agency, Japan implements programs for technical cooperation, capital grants, and loans.

The robust global network of JICA covers European, Asian, Near Eastern, African, and Latin American directions.
