The trial of Mikheil Saakashvili on the case of illegal border crossing is expected to be held today at the Vivamedi Clinic.

Defendant’s lawyers are asking for a postponement of the hearing, citing the former president"s health condition.

According to them, such kind of court hearing is held only at the request of the parties. Consequently, it is unclear to them why the judge made the decision to hold the trial in the hospital.
