The President of the European Council congratulates the people of the Baltic States on the celebration of the Summer solstice and notes that today the European Council recognizes the European perspective of the three countries.

“Today, the European Council will recognize the European perspective of Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova and Georgia.

The future of these countries and their citizens lies within the EU. This year’s Summer Solstice will be historic. Midsummer is about hope and light.

I want to wish happy Summer solstice celebrations to all our Latvian and Baltic friends and may the whole Union enjoy this beautiful tradition of festivities to celebrate the longest and brightest day of the year”, - tweeted Charles Michel.
