Vice-President of the German Bundestag to visit Georgia

Vice-President of the German Bundestag Katrin Göring-Eckardt will visit Georgia today.

According to the German Embassy, the vice-president wants to facilitate the timely fulfilment of obligations necessary for obtaining the EU candidate status.

“Mrs Göring-Eckardt will learn about the war consequences and Georgia’s prospects. The Vice President will hold talks in Tbilisi with Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and the Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili.

She will also partake in a public discussion organized by the Heinrich Böll Foundation”, - reads the statement.
