The employees of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Police Departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative-search measures and investigative activities detained several times convicted in past G.Z. (DoB 1989) for premeditated murder.

The committed crime envisions from 10 to 15 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that the detainee, under the influence of alcohol, wounded the owner of the eatery facility - D.C. (DoB 1982) with a knife, in vicinities of the same object and fled from the scene. The wounded man died immediately after being transferred to the hospital.

Police detained G.Z. few hours after the incident, in Vani municipality as a suspect. Law enforcement officers seized the weapon of crime - a knife as evidence.

The investigation into the fact of premeditated murder is underway under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
