Prime Minister meets the new Head of the European Union’s Delegation to Georgia

Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Pawel Herczynski, new EU Ambassador. At the introductory meeting, the parties discussed the key directions of the EU-Georgia Association Agenda.

It was emphasized that, by granting the European Council perspective to Georgia, the European Council validated Georgia’s future in the EU, and the European Council’s decision laid the foundation for a new stage poised to lead Georgia to EU membership.

According to Irakli Garibashvili, Georgia has been quick to respond to the European Council’s decision and has developed an action plan for implementing the 12 priorities defined by the EU.

The Prime Minister emphasized that working groups engaging all relevant stakeholders were created for each priority.

It was also pointed at the meeting that the relations between the EU and Georgia are at an all-time high, and that Georgia remains committed to its European path.

The Prime Minister thanked the new EU Ambassador for the strong support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Irakli Garibashvili wished Pawel Herczynski success in his future endeavors.
