The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia held an introductory meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia, Ali Kaan Orbai.

Vakhtang Gomelauri congratulated the Ambassador of Turkey on his appointment and wished success in future activities. At the same time, Minister expressed special gratitude to Turkey for the operational assistance provided by specialized firefighting aircrafts during fire extinguishing activities in Borjomi.

Within the framework of the meeting, the parties emphasized on the essence of existing bilateral cooperation in the field of law enforcement between agencies of two countries and set prospects of future relations.

Vakhtang Gomelauri expressed hope that with joint efforts the mentioned cooperation will further be enhanced.
