The Chairman of the Education and Science Committee congratulated the students of the 51st public school on the start of the academic year.
Giorgi Amilakhvari visited the newly rehabilitated school’s classrooms and talked to students and teachers.
“All of the schools have resumed their regular academic schedules as of today. I went to my hometown"s public school N51 on the first day of the school year, which had just undergone rehabilitation. I congratulated the 1 graders on beginning their studies. I also want to salute our brave teachers who have been serving generations for many years. Government’s primary goal is to create an educated society; therefore, we are making every effort to improve programs, infrastructure, and teachers’ professionalism to give youngsters access to a high-quality education that will assure both the success of our nation and their future.
Students and teachers are fully provided with the necessary resources. They discovered a welcoming, engaging atmosphere in the classrooms in every school. All of the students received free access to laptops, textbooks, and other resources. Chess lessons were introduced, which is vital for the development of the student’s mental talents, and the Ministry of Education decided to separate and teach Georgian history as a separate subject. This year, we also have news in the curriculum”, - said Giorgi Amilakhvari.
