Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister appeals to governments of Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Georgia not to refuse Crimean Tatars to cross the border

Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine appeals to the governments of Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Georgia not to refuse the Crimean Tatars to cross the border.

„The occupation authorities started illegal mobilization in Crimea. They began massive mobilization of Crimean Tatars and other indigenous people of Crimea to fight on the side of the occupiers in the war. Crimean Tatars and other indigenous peoples of Ukrainian Crimea are trying their best to avoid being mobilized into the enemy"s army.

Crimean Tatars are trying to travel to friendly countries of Ukraine, but the Ministry of Reintegration received information that Polish, Latvian, Estonian, Lithuanian and Georgian border guards sometimes refuse them to cross the border.

We appeal to the governments of Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Georgia to pay attention to these problems. We ask our friendly countries to facilitate the migration of the indigenous peoples of Crimea from the territory of the Ukrainian Crimea and the territory of the Russian Federation to third countries. Now the support of the indigenous peoples of Crimea from the international community is as important as never before!“, - said Iryna Vereshchuk.
