Today’s Cabinet meeting was chaired by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili. During the meeting the Members of the Cabinet discussed 9 issues.

The issues discussed included the approval of the 2022-2028 Strategy for the Development of Georgia’s Capital Market and its 2022-2024 Action Plan designed to foster the unity of the country’s economic space, freedom of economic activities, and the formation of a competitive and stable investment environment.

Notably, the Strategy for the Development of the Capital Market seeks to encourage economic growth by putting in place a capital market.

The strategy is in line with the Development Strategy of Georgia-Vision 2030 and conforms to the EU Association Agreement.

The strategy was developed with active engagement from the relevant state institutions, private sector representatives, and experts and consultants from the Asian Development Bank.
