The Defense and Security Committee members held a meeting with the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Riigikogu of Estonia, Marko Mihkelson, the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Saeima of Latvia, Rihards Kols and the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Seimas of Lithuania, Laima Liucija Andrikienė.

According to the Chair of the Defense and Security Committee, Irakli Beraia, the parties discussed the regional security milieu, threats and challenges Georgia encounters, and various manifestations thereof, including the degree that the security environment of our country has been changed due to the full-scale Russian military aggression against Ukraine.

“We stressed the importance of the EU and NATO integration of Georgia, the expectations of NATO Vilnius Summit and the enhancement of the bilateral relations with all three partner countries of course, especially in the Parliamentary dimension”, - he stated.

The meeting was attended by Committee members – Alexander Elisashvili and Hermann Szabo.
