I call upon [Mikheil] Saakashvili’s friends both inside and outside the country not to interfere with the court’s activities. Such a statement made the Speaker of the Parliament, while talking about the former president.
“Georgia is a legal state and decisions are made through legal procedures. The court makes a decision and everyone must respect that decision. I once again call on Saakashvili’s friends both inside and outside the country not to interfere with the court"s activities.
This is the minimum elementary principle of the legal state. We have seen attempts of interference before, and I hope that in this case they will refrain from making unnecessary statements and exerting pressure on the court.
As for the announcement of rallies, a few days ago we saw a rally in front of the Georgian Dream office, and this rally should have convinced the United National Movement that they are completely missing the public’s interests”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
