Nona Mamulashvili, a former member of the United National Movement, announces that she will participate in the party’s elections as a candidate for the chairperson.
“On January 31, 2021, the UNM announced its renewal and introduced twelve new members to the society. Then we also became a part of this renewal for the sole reason - to act for the robustness of the party, and then for the pro-Western development of the country, for an economically strong, fair and secure Georgia.
Despite the desire for changes and uncompromising struggle, we saw that due to serious systemic problems, it was impossible to make the party robust. Therefore, at different times, although for the same reason, we left the party.
The UNM is fighting the worst crisis in the country, oligarchic rule, political justice and deviation from the western course, in a state of being devoid of politics and weak.
However, fortunately, there is an opportunity for change, and this is an intra-party election!
That is why we participate in these elections in order to return politics to the party, to take all necessary steps to change the oligarchic regime, to release the founder of the party, Mikheil Saakashvili, and the Head of Mtavari Arkhi Nika Gvaramia, from political imprisonment.
We, Nona Mamulashvili - as a candidate for the chairperson of the party and Giorgi Khvedeliani - as a candidate for the general secretary of the party, will participate in the elections of the UNM in order to renew with you the process of renewing and strengthening the party that started in 2021”, - writes Nona Mamulashvili on Facebook.
