I wish a Happy Professional Day of Public Servants to every public servant, and I thank them for their service to the people and the state - Garibashvili

The Prime Minister of Georgia congratulated civil servants on their professional day by calling their contribution “invaluable” and praising their service as a “driving force” of public institutions.

“I wish a Happy Professional Day of Public Servants to every public servant, and I thank them for their service to the people and the state. Their merits are invaluable, because public servants are the driving force behind all public institutions and the key actors in their development.

Despite the current events worldwide, as a result of the large-scale reforms carried out by our authorities, we have considerable progress in the directions of building democratic institutions, economic advancement, and social and foreign policies. To continue these achievements, and to perpetuate the prosperity of our citizens, it is necessary to ensure the continuity of reforms, systemic and coordinated policy planning, evaluation and analysis of resources and potential, and their maximally effective use. Public servants play a key role in these processes.

The Government of Georgia will continue reforming public governance and its most important part, public service, which stands for introducing European principles and ensuring institutional guarantees. Appreciating the contributions of public servants in building the public service of the future is the unconditional priority of the authorities. This is exactly why a process of increasing their salaries started in 2022 to continue in coming years as well.

Once again, I wish a Happy Professional Day and further progress and success to each public servant!
