The contract for the purchase of weapons, including “Buk”, was signed in 2007 - Beka Davituliani

When you are pushing a country, whose territories are occupied by Russia, so arrogantly every day and ask them to transfer military equipment, in my opinion, it is not a friendly step, it is an unfriendly step, which is not the first on the part of Ukraine. Such a statement made Beka Davituliani, Georgian Dream, while responding Ukrainian Chargé d’Affaires in Georgia, Andrii Kasianov.

“This request is exactly part of that opera, that for some reason some people requested to organize a special flight, when the volunteers were already going without problems. Some people want Georgia to be identified as an active party in the war process, which will increase the risks for the security of our country.

As I know, the contract for the purchase of weapons, including “Buk”, was signed in 2007 and this armament was transferred to Georgia in exchange for money a year earlier.

After 2008, there were really problems with certain types of armaments, however, Romania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, including Ukraine, sold certain weapons to Georgia. What does aid mean? We used to pay and buy”, - said Beka Davitulian.

Ukrainian Chargé d’Affaires in Georgia, Andrii Kasianov, published an article in the Ukrainian media, according to which, Kyiv asked Tbilisi to hand over the “Buk” missiles, which were given to Georgia by Ukraine during the 2008 war.
