Ukraine’s Charge d’Affaires, Andrii Kasianov was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia for an explanation regarding the statement he made.

“He was summoned to the Ministry for an explanation regarding the statement he made. Other issues of bilateral relations will not be discussed with him at this meeting”, - said the agency.

As Kasianov explained to journalists, he is going to the Ministry on the basis of an invitation, and at the meeting they will discuss a wide range of issues related to bilateral relations between Georgia and Ukraine.

Ukraine’s Charge d’Affaires said in an interview with European Pravda that the Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia does not rule out the possibility of evacuating Ukrainian citizens “if they are threatened by the resumption of direct air traffic between Georgia and Russia and the massive influx of Russian”.
