The spring session of the Parliament of Georgia will open today. In the ongoing week, the Speaker of the Parliament will present a report on the annual activities of the legislature and the next year’s action plan at the plenary session.
The main issues of the spring session are the consideration and adoption of draft laws initiated within the framework of the 12-point European recommendation. Among them are amendments to the Law “On Common Courts” and the Law “On De-oligarchization”.
Besides, the agenda includes the issue of electing a new Ombudsman, non-judge members of the Supreme Council of Justice and the chairman of the CEC, on which no consensus could be reached between the political parties.
