We have 100 employees of search and rescue service from Georgia to Türkiye. They are located in Adıyaman Province and also work 24 hours a day. As far as I know, the Georgian rescue team saved two people from the ruins. Such a statement made today Turkish Ambassador to Georgia, Ali Kaan Orbai.
“The number of victims of the earthquake is increasing and currently the death toll is almost 13,000, 62,000 people have also been injured and more than 6,000 houses have been destroyed.
We have mobilized all our resources in Türkiye and we have also received help from the international community. Georgia was among the first countries that responded to our call. I am in close contact with the Minister of Foreign Affairs. I know that Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili is personally coordinating the relief effort.
Georgian people show great care. I would like to say that I am proud to be the Ambassador in a country that loves Türkiye so much”, - said Ali Kaan Orbai.
