Irakli Garibashvili meets Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Gordan Grlić-Radman, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia.

The parties reviewed the key directions of cooperation between the two countries and discussed prospects of deeper cooperation across a variety of spheres.

The conversation revolved around Georgia’s considerable progress on the path to European integration. Emphasis was placed on the importance of the report of the European Commission on the compatibility of Georgia’s national legislative framework with EU legislation. It was noted that Georgia deserves the EU membership candidate status, and this is reaffirmed in the recent report of the European Commission.

The Prime Minister thanked Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia for firmly supporting Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and European integration.

The meeting at the Administration of the Government was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Croatia to Georgia Branko Zebic, Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Croatia Zaal Gogsadze.
