Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia, while delivering speech at the World Government Summit.

“On March 3, 2022, Georgia submitted an application for joining the European Union as a concrete response to the long-term choice of the Georgian people, and on June 23, 2022, the European Council recognized Georgia’s European perspective, which once again confirmed that Georgia"s future lies in the European Union.

We have a crucial road ahead of us on the way to joining the EU, candidate status is our next stage. We hope that the leading country in the Eastern Partnership will celebrate this achievement.

All of the above shows that our Government is flexible and responsive to new regional, global, social and political events, despite the fact that the environment around Georgia is constantly changing.

I would like to emphasize that our vision for Georgia involves becoming a symbol of stability, opportunity and development. We are committed to creating a strong dynamic economy that benefits all our citizens. At the same time, we are building a society that will be inclusive, innovative and future-oriented.

Let us remember that our goal is for Georgia to become a clear example of what is needed to achieve a common vision through a common public union. This is inspired by the amazing development of the United Arab Emirates.

We have the resources, talent and determination to succeed. I am sure that by standing together we will make our goal a reality”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.
