The attempt of the Georgian government to adopt the law on agents is one of the examples of the problems in the state. Such a statement made the member of the European Parliament Sven Mikser.
“European Union support is very high in Georgian society and we have always supported Georgia’s European future. We must support these aspirations.
We have seen a lot of problems - in terms of judicial reform and the rule of law, and the attempt of the Georgian government to adopt the law on agents is one of the examples of the problems in the state.
This is very disturbing. Despite the fact that this law has been withdrawn, the state’s rhetoric and narrative are not supportive of European integration”, - said Sven Mikser.
