Georgian Ministry of Justice issued a statement regarding the involvement of foreign doctors in the treatment of Mikheil Saakashvili.

“The Ministry offered the opportunity to involve foreign doctors in the treatment of convicted Saakashvili on November 29, 2022.

The offer implies that the Special Penitentiary Service will not be against a foreign doctor directly invited by the convicted person or his family, who meets the prerequisites defined by the Georgian legislation, to take part in his treatment at the VivaMedi clinic in Tbilisi, where convicted Saakashvili is currently staying”, - reads the statement of the agency.
