There was a verbal and physical confrontation between opposition MPs and members of the People’s Power at the plenary session of the Parliament, where the Defense Code is being discussed.

The situation became tense, when opposition MPs Tariel Nakaidze and Sozar Subari, People’s Power, were talking to each other. It escalated so that MP Viktor Japaridze threw a microphone in the direction of Nakaidze. The verbal confrontation continued for several minutes.

Following Japaridze, Levan Mgaloblishvili, another MP of People’s Power, also threw a microphone at an opposition member, Tariel Nakaidze.

The security officers tried to ease the situation in the hall.
