Three judges refused to go to the United States of America on a study visit, wrote Dimitri Gvritishvili, judge member of the High Council of Justice, on his Facebook page.
“On April 22 – 30, a study visit of Georgian judges to the US is scheduled.
To me, as a member of the High Council of Justice of Georgia, it became known that the three judges participating in this visit: Nana Jokhadze, Tamar Bezhanishvili and Konstantine Kopaliani refused to go, and their statements have been officially submitted to the Council.
This is a kind of solidarity act, just as it was in the case of Lasha Chkhikvadze, when several judges refused to participate in a similar visit, because there is a clearly unfair and humiliating attitude towards Georgian judges by the representatives of the US”, - writes Dimitri Gvritishvili.
