The President of Georgia held a meeting of the parents of children diagnosed with achondroplasia. As the parents stated after the meeting, Salome Zourabichvili would assist them as much as possible.

“The President was completely aware of the syndrome and consulted with physicians. She also heard of our experience, what we went through over the last year and a half, and our concern, that we are in a rush. Salome Zourabichvili expressed her delight that funds for this are included in the budget and that she is willing to assist us”, - said Makuna Gochiashvili, one of the parents.

Parents of children with achondroplasia held rallies over the last days, demanding that appropriate medicines [Vosoritide] be imported in Georgia and funded.
