I want all my supporters and all sane people to understand that I have been tortured for almost two years now, Mikheil Saakashvili says in his Facebook post.

“I have been tortured for almost 2 years now, on completely fabricated charges, I am completely innocent.

My only crime is that I created a real state under Russia’s nose and firmly turned it towards the European Union and NATO.

Now everything is in great danger, and that’s why I’m in prison by order of [Vladimir] Putin.
