The Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili met with the members of the Foreign Relations Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia who are visiting Georgia.
The parties underscored the positive and cordial relations between Georgia and Armenia, and engaged in discussions regarding bilateral cooperation, including at the parliamentary level. The first joint session of the Foreign Relations Committees of the Parliament of Georgia and the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia was highly regarded.
During the meeting, the current events in the region were thoroughly discussed, with a particular emphasis on the significance of achieving a peaceful agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Shalva Papuashvili expressed Georgia’s willingness to serve as a mediator between the two countries, facilitating dialogue aimed at ensuring regional stability and prosperity.
Both sides expressed their commitment to further enhancing bilateral relations and agreed to continue their collaborative efforts in this regard.
